Señor Pavo Spreading Joy at Children’s Hospitals

The end of the year brings about some of our team’s favorite activities – holiday events at our local children’s hospitals! In November, we had the privilege of hosting our special annual Thanksgiving lunches for the children being treated at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Families enjoyed a festive Thanksgiving feast, creative themed arts and crafts, and even a photo booth to capture special moments together. Our team and volunteers were overjoyed to bring smiles to the children and their families while meeting new patients and reconnecting with past ones.

We’d like to take a moment to highlight one very special longtime volunteer: our Live Like Bella turkey – Phil Vivolo aka “Señor Pavo.” For eleven years, every November, Phil has eagerly donned his turkey costume to bring joy, read books, and lead arts and crafts at this cherished annual event. We’re so thankful for his heart of compassion and service.
