Unveiling Our Bell of Hope

Unveiling Our Bell of Hope

In May we were so proud to unveil our “Bell of Hope” and announce the launch of our $10 million endowment campaign at our Celebration of Gratitude.

The bell was rung for the first time by Braulio Hernandez – a stage three cancer survivor who battled lymphoma at just 16 years old. Zoey Pavon, who had been battling cancer since 2016 and was recently declared cancer-free. Ethan Feinberg, a 20-year-old ependymoma fighter and Bella’s cousin. Santi Neibles a medulloblastoma fighter who has been cancer-free for almost a year. And Rayna Rodriguez-Torres and Brandon Amador, who rang the bell in honor of their siblings who passed from childhood cancer.

The name of the “Bell of Hope” was inspired by the ceremony that takes place when a cancer patient finishes treatment, however, we believe children should be celebrated every step of the way and have reimagined the bell. Our “Bell of Hope” creates meaningful moments throughout thei journeys, as kids can ring for a good scan, a good lab result, or their kindergarten graduation, etc.

The bell is surrounded by commemorative tiles etched with the names the first 200 founding members.
