Researcher Mildred Acevedo-Duncan, Ph.D., at the University of South Florida is leading a study on the potential of PKC-i inhibitors in preventing the growth of neuroblastoma cells. With support from Live Like Bella, researchers at Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital have been testing this approach on nine neuroblastoma cell lines. Early findings show that PKC-i inhibitors, including ICA-1, successfully halted the growth of three neuroblastoma cell lines. Since the ability to stop neuroblastoma cell growth is crucial in the fight against pediatric cancer, researchers continue to investigate PKC-i’s role in targeting these aggressive tumors.
We are proud to partner with University of South Florida and some truly amazing and talented individuals to make these research trials possible.
