Julie Preston, Executive National Account Director for Ipsen, has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry with a focus on the U.S. dynamic managed care marketplace. She has experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, rare disease, anti-infectives, nephrology and gastroenterology. Julie joined Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals in 2014 as a Director of National Accounts. Now 10 years later, she is in an Executive National Accounts position. Julie is accountable for establishing access to Ipsen products across Managed Markets payor segments by leading the development and implementation of compliant and effective payor specific strategies. Prior to joining Ipsen , Julie worked at Cubist Pharmaceuticals and Optimer Pharmaceuticals as Director of National Accounts within the Managed Markets space. In this role, she supported a product launch and negotiated tailored access contracts as applicable across assigned accounts. In addition, she led cross functional teams without formal authority which contributed to the success of pull through initiatives. Prior to working with Managed Markets, Julie worked at Roche/Genentech within the Integrated Delivery Network space. In this role, she negotiated and processed customer contract proposals within the Strategic Pricing Group. In addition, she monitored, evaluated, and communicated contractual compliance and financial performance. Lastly, she managed product priorities including launches and line extensions. It was at Roche/Genentech where she had the pleasure of meeting Raymond Rodriguez-Torres. Julie has a BA from the University of California, Irvine and is based in Carlsbad, CA.
