Ex Vivo Drug Screening and Genomics Profiling to Guide Treatments for Children with Relapsed or Refractory Solid Tumors and Leukemia
SUMMARY:
The objective of this study is to try novel treatments for children with advanced forms of cancer. Researchers intend to perform an ex vivo drug screening as well as genetic profiling to offer individualized treatment for children with no other options.
From the Researcher: “Childhood cancers receive less than 4% funding from federal agencies, hence, our study on individualized cancer treatments in children would not have been possible without the Live Like Bella® Initiative.”- Diana Azzam.
