Sofia’s Hope

Mission: Sofia’s Hope is dedicated to raising awareness about childhood cancer, supporting families through tailored programs, and addressing long-term treatment effects—especially those impacting heart health in survivors.

Population Served: Pediatric cancer patients and families receiving care from South Florida hospitals, including Nicklaus Children’s, Joe DiMaggio Children’s, Miami Cancer Institute, Holtz/UM Alex’s Place, Broward Health, and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital.

Camp Information: Sofia’s Hope offers enriching Horse Camps and Virtual Art Camps designed for survivors, patients, and siblings ages 5 and up. These camps provide therapeutic and creative outlets, promoting healing, joy, and community among families affected by cancer.

David Posnack JCC

Mission: The mission of the Sunrise South Florida Programs is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings through free, inclusive camp and recreational experiences.

Population Served: Children with cancer and their siblings living in South Florida, all programs offered completely free of charge.

Camp Information: Sunrise Day Camp South Florida at the David Posnack JCC offers a full Summer Day Camp experience filled with music, sports, arts, dance, swimming, yoga, and daily celebrations. Year-round programs and in-hospital activities further ensure joy and connection continue beyond the summer.

Camp Sunshine

Mission: Camp Sunshine provides hope, joy, and community through transformative camp experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families—all at no cost.

Population Served: Families from all 50 U.S. states and 27 countries, offering a welcoming and supportive environment at their lakeside campus in Casco, Maine.

Camp Information: Camp Sunshine offers year-round, diagnosis-specific sessions for the entire family, including fun-filled activities, emotional support, and on-site medical care. All programs are free of charge. Explore session dates and details here:

Camp Casco

Mission: At Camp Casco, our mission is to provide a joyful and inclusive camp experience for children impacted by childhood cancer. We create a safe haven where kids can build lifelong friendships, discover their inner strength, and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood, all within a supportive and compassionate community. 

Population Served: Camp Casco is a nonprofit organization that runs free summer camps for children impacted by pediatric cancer (patients, survivors and their siblings) in New England.

Camp Information: Our transformative summer camps allow children impacted by pediatric cancer to enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood.  Each day of camp is designed to foster resilience, build new friendships and find joy!
