PARTNERSHIP WITH LIVE LIKE BELLA™ FOUNDATION. “BELLA’S

CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS FUNDED

Funds raised at the 2014 Westminster Christian School (WCS) Fishing Tournament in memory of Briana Vega, in partnership with the Live Like Bella® Foundation, will fund studies at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital to identify new strategies to combat therapy resistant T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Studies will be led by Dr. David Langenau whose research focuses on uncovering the mechanisms driving progression and relapse in pediatric tumors. Click here for more information

Live Like Bella® Foundation in union with the Thumbs Up for Lane Goodwin Foundation recently funded a new promising and novel treatment for Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. The pre-clinical trial, entitled: “EphB4 and PDGFR in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma” is being conducted at Oregon Health & Science University. Click here for more information

The Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation announced a gift to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) that will help fund a groundbreaking therapy for children with relapsed or treatment-resistant Rhabdomyosarcoma by using one of the most promising methods of cancer treatment today, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells.
